This time, I’ll share my thoughts about how I first believed that my writing will progress to how it actually went.

Continue readingAs I go on with further edit passes, some self-done, some based on feedback, I try to not just edit but also observe how my edits change and how I see some things compared to the past.
Continue readingIn this post, I’ll look into one specific type of narrative I encountered: one where the story is told by a narrator retrospectively and interrupted here and there with the narrator’s perspective. While my sample on this kind of narrative is small, it was enough to discover potential issues in that approach – something I’ll talk about now.
Continue readingIn past, I made two posts about my thoughts about romance elements in fantasy from a reader’s point of view. Today, I’m finally getting to share my thoughts from a writer’s side. Spoiler-free.
Continue readingRoughly a month ago, I wrote about the positive traits of antagonists. Today, I am taking it from the other side: how a hero’s traits can slow him/her down from a potentially invincible problem-solver to a relatable character.
Continue readingIt’s time for another monthly update on my writing progress. Even though it might not feel so for me at first glance, there was actually some.
Greetings everyone. Today, I’ll give a few more hints on what you can (or can’t) expect to see in my work-in-progress fantasy trilogy. Spoiler-free, of course. I am really careful about that.
This morning, Lorraine Ambers posted about her and Ari Meghlen‘s initiative ‘Writers tag’ to connect blogging writers and hopefully have some fun as well. Sounds nice, right?

I’ve seen it a few times. People saying that ‘writing for yourself’ is a myth, nonsense, horrible lie… and any other such words including countless variations on lying to yourself and unpleasant truth.
Are they right, though? Not completely, I’d say.
I’ll keep this one short. The first sample of my coming fantasy is finally available to see. It’s up-to-date with edits made in early September and will be updated with each major draft. This first shared fragment is roughly 0,5% of the to-be book one and can be viewed here.
I should be able to share one to three more samples in time (no ETA yet). The whole book one should be completed in the second half of 2019 if everything goes well. I’ll probably try to share some other bits in the meantime. What they’ll be is hard to guess.
Anyway, that’s it from me. See you next time.
