Things have caught me a bit behind once again, and so it’s only now, mid-way through May, I’m looking back at my April hikes. But better late than never, right?

Late March announced itself with quite warm weather. Which meant I had to take the opportunity and spend some time outdoors.

November tends to be a weird month for hiking. Most years, I get soaked by rain at least one time. This year, November surprised me with quite some variance in weather.

In this post, I’ll look back at three October hikes – the weather wasn’t always the most cooperative, but there was a lot to be seen anyway, so it’ll be a photo-heavy post.

In today’s post, I’ll look back at two hikes that were almost a month apart, with the weekend trip described last week between them. As with the weekend trip, this offered a lot of mushroom photos.

The transition from August to September had seen me go with a minor – but yet major – change when it comes to my hiking: replacing a backpack that served me well for quite a long time.

After the fourth day, the halfway mark of my holiday, I’ve had walked around 100km. And I was nowhere near done…
