After quite a bleak February, March was a much brighter month, with its own changes and challenges. Let’s have a look.
February was mostly gloomy, and that only changed in the last couple of days. March was the exact opposite – a month with a lot of sunlight, though the mornings were still cold. And, as with February, it made a sharp turn at the end.
This brighter weather led to a brighter mood and some good time outdoors. I went for three mild but very enjoyable hikes during the month, which definitely helped to offset the fact that I’ve been quite busy at work, and the physical activity let me clear my mind. As usual, I’ll have a separate post for that, this time with photos, as usual – March was much better in that aspect. For now, a small teaser.

All three hikes were during the first three weekends, which meant I fulfilled my goal ahead of time. This was mostly necessary because I was needed elsewhere for the last weekend, though I didn’t let that be without at least some activity – but more on that in the upcoming hiking summary.
When it comes to reading, I managed to finish two books, of which I have already posted my reviews, and I’m about to start the third this week. So that was another goal met.
When it comes to writing, I haven’t done anything in March – because of the busy time at work, I preferred to read, and I found myself in need of more relaxation and lacking the energy for creative pursuits. That said, I’ve been looping around to think about some plot points that’ll need some attention, I finally converted the current draft of book two for my e-reader so I can go for the planned read-through once I finish reading the next book, and I was pondering some ideas from the “maybe one day” drawer related to a prequel I’m considering, specifically, considering some expansion of that concept.
So, that’s it for this month. I hope that the better days will continue throughout the spring, and that I’ll get more time for creative pursuits once I adjust to the busier times at work. Just the same, I hope April will be nice to you.
