June’s almost over, and it’s time to look back on what this month has brought me.
When it comes to hiking, I managed three hikes, which keeps me up with my goal. I skipped the very first weekend because the weather forecast kept changing too much, and it’d be hard to guess where I had the best chance of avoiding rain. But the next weekends made up for it. As usual, more in a separate post coming soon, but I’ll provide a teaser photo.

When it comes to writing, June’s been an empty month – my mind was simply in too many places to get in the mood. I’m having some ideas for minor improvements that are sorely needed, so at least I’m noting those if possible, because ideas have the talent to be around when you have no way to note them down, and disappear as suddenly as they came.
The opposite can be said about my reading progress. After finishing the book I started at the very end of May, I read the two sequels and started the fourth book in that world, though I’m yet to finish that one. Still, I consider that decent progress, though I’m now very far behind on posting the reviews (they’re already prepared and I’ll post them in the coming weeks).
On that front, I also have some idea what to read next. There’s one longer book I plan to return to after several years since reading it first, as there’s been a sequel released, and another series I enjoyed some two or three years ago has also had the world quite expanded. This takes care of the typical indecision I tend to struggle with at the end of a series, at least.
Speaking of the near future, I’m also figuring out my plans for the summer. There are some places I’d like to see, whether on my own, with my sister, or with the people from the hiking club.
So, that’s a quick summary of the past month. I’m looking forward to summer, though saying this brings some second thoughts as a heatwave hits Europe. Well, I’ll do my best anyway. And I hope the next month will be great for you as well.
